CONTINUATION OF BROCK/CAT SPECIAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 23
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Dalton Township Board has resolved its’ intention to continue to make certain public improvements consisting of the maintenance of Brock Street and Cat Road, private roads, between Dalson and Duff Roads, (the “Improvements”), by its own initiative pursuant to Act 188 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1954, as amended. The Township Board has also tentatively determined that the cost of the Improvements will be assessed against each of the following described lots and parcels of land which are benefitted by the Improvements and which together comprise the following proposed tentative Special Assessment District, which is a continuation of the prior Special Assessment District No. 23:

The tentative Special Assessment District is located along Brock Street and Cat Road, between Dalson and Duff Roads.
TAKE NOTICE that the Dalton Township Board will hold a public hearing on April 12, 2021, at 6:00 p.m., or shortly thereafter, at the Township Hall, 1616 E. Riley Thompson Road, Muskegon, MI 49445, to hear and consider any objections to the proposed Improvements, the tentative special assessment district, and all other matters relating to said Improvements.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that preliminary plans and estimates of cost for the Improvements are on file with the Township Clerk for public examination.
The Township Board may proceed to carry out the proposed Improvements unless written objections from the record owners of land constituting more than 20% of the total land area in the proposed Special Assessment District to the Improvement are filed with the Township Board at or before the hearing.
PROPERTY SHALL NOT BE ADDED TO THE PROPOSED SPECIAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICT AND THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATE OF COST SHALL NOT BE INCREASED BY MORE THAN 10% WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE AND PUBLIC HEARING.
