NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
DALTON TOWNSHIP
ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

Dalton Township Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing at 1616 E Riley Thompson, Muskegon, MI 49445 on April 18, 2022 at 6:00pm for the following requests:

• A request by Bruce Springer for a dimensional variance at 1024 E Riley Thompson Rd. This is a dimensional variance of 480 sq ft from the requirements of Section 4.2.H.1.a of the Dalton Township Zoning Ordinance to permit a total of 2880 sq ft of accessory buildings on a lot less than 5 acres in area where only 2400 sq ft is permitted.
• A request by Brad Chester for use variances at 4060 Hyde Park Rd. The request is to establish transportation terminal for a sanitation business in the R-1 Low Density Residential district on the same lot as an existing blueberry farm. This is a use variance from Chapter 6 which does not allow transportation terminals as a permitted use, and a use variance from Section 4.43 which only allows one principal use per lot.
• A request by Jeff Lund for a dimensional variance at 1390 E Lakewood Rd. The request is to construct accessory buildings with a total area of 4896 sq ft and to construct an accessory building in the front yard 106 ft from the front lot line. This is a dimensional variance of 94 ft from section 4.2.C which requires accessory buildings in the front yard to be 200 ft from the front lot line, and a dimensional variance of 896 sq ft from Section 4.2.H.1.b which only permits 4000 sq ft of accessory buildings.
